                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 708
                   McCALLIE AVENUE, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST LINE OF
                   McCALLIE AVENUE SOUTHEAST OF BALDWIN STREET
                   FROM R-4 SPECIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE
                   COMMERCIAL ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
              A tract of land located at 708 McCallie Avenue, being on
              the southwest line of McCallie Avenue southeast of
              Baldwin Street.  Lots 9 and 10, Final Plat, Kaylor's
              Addition to Chattanooga, as shown by plat of record in
              plat book 48, page 161, R.O.H.C., being part of the
              property described in deed book 3618, page 793, R.O.H.C. 
              Tax Map No. 145D-Q-3 and 3.1.
             
         from R-4 Special Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Approval of access by the City Traffic Engineer.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
